He renounced all worldly pleasures and came to Girnar mountain to seek salvation. Here, after the great ascetics of Lord Neminath, Jnana reached only the highest state of Jnana and Moksha. Inside the Neminath temple, a black granite idol of Lord Neminath can be seen with jeweled eyes. The pillars of the temples are decorated with intricate carvings of Jain Tirthankaras.


Other Jain temples

There are other Jain temples in the Girnar hills like Bagwan temples Shabhadev temple, Mallinath temple and Bagwan Parshvanath temple. The gardener Shabhadev temple is easily recognizable due to its golden color architecture. The Bagwan Parshvanath Temple, also known as Meravasi, was built in the 15th century.
